Winery Review:

Festive cranberry in color with an aromatic bouquet with hints of raspberries, strawberries, and rose. A fresh raspberry taste, with crisp acidity, enticing the palate with an initial softness, graduating to a round and luscious finish.

My review:
Smell - This wine was not as aromatic as other wines I've smelled. However, the bouquet was quite nice with hints of raspberries and strawberries. The flavor was overall sweet and very enticing.

Taste - This wine was carbonated, which made for a different feel in the mouth. The wine was quite sweet with lots of flavors of raspberry and strawberry. While it was sweet and fruity, the back end of the wine was very full of acidity making the wine very full in flavor. The acidity of the wine balanced out the sweetness. This wine was delicious!

I tasted this wine with some desserts.

The first dessert was simply chocolate. I tried a dark, sweet chocolate and a dark, bitter chocolate with this wine. With both kinds, the wine blended well with the chocolate. The sweeter chocolate became creamy when the chocolate and the wine combined in the mouth, while the bitter chocolate and the sweetness of the wine combined to create an enjoyable blend of chocolate and strawberries. It was quite delightful.

I also tried this wine several hours later with a blackberry, strawberry crumble. This wine paired very well with that fresh dessert because the flavors went together really well. The fresh fruit exploded with flavor in the mouth. The strawberry flavor was especially enhanced with this wine. However, after a few hours this wine opened up too much and became more acidic. While still good overall, it was much better when it was first opened.
